Karen A. Messina, Vice Chair

Karen Messina, CLSC is the Vice Chair of the Board of the National Alliance of Domestic Violence Survivors. She is a Certified Life Strategies, Stress Management, Trauma Informed and Divorce Coach. She was the Co-Founder of a non-profit organization called Offsprings Charities, where she helped survivors rebuild their lives after escaping the abusive relationship. Karen is also the Founder of The Living Free From Fear Movement.  She was a Paralegal that became a Court Advocate in her city. Soon after that she started her Life Coaching Business. She has spent over 20 years as an advocate for survivors during their court cases and has seen so many success stories come out of dark days. Karen started this work as a Paralegal, helping women navigate the very uncertain court system. Her Trauma Informed education helps to find the root cause, heal it and put a plan in place so that survivors can move forward and be in control of their outcomes. Part of her coaching practice is to coach women that are in the process of divorce. Going through a divorce can cause so many emotions and unhappy experiences. Most of all it creates STRESS. Karen helps women create new, disconfirming experiences to prove that their past does not have to be part of their future. Now, Karen’s passion is helping people identify their unhealed and unidentified past emotional traumas that are keeping them stuck.  She believes they can move into the life they so deserve.
